Höegh Evi is in the process of hiring an HSEQ Inspector. The HSEQ team is concerned with managing operational risk and compliance. The HSEQ Inspector has a key role in managing, establishing and implementing HSEQ-improvement processes on the vessels and shore and shall be a quality control function of the Safety Management System (SMS). Our goal is zero harm to people and the environment.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and develop company’s safety management system by:

• Document Revision and Quality Control

Environmental Compliance:

• Responsibility for compliance and update of relevant plans for the fleet
• Responsibility to monitor and update environmental procedures

Risk Management:

• Responsibility for performing regular review of Risk Assessment library, Permit to Work and vessel follow-up.
• Superuser for company’s SMS software, hereunder ability to carry out training

Qualifications

• Good computer skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
• Good understanding of the shipboard processes, Safety Management Systems and HSEQ
• improvement processes. Preferably experience working with ISO 9001 and 14001.
• Education and work experience to be equivalent to Deck or Engine Officer, minimum 2nd Officer level. Environmental Compliance Officer from Cruise industry, or experience from LNG, FSRU, oil or chemical tankers with a keen interest in Environmental Compliance.
• 4-5 years of experience with HSEQ and work on safety management systems (SMS) in a ship management company is preferred.
