Höegh Evi is looking for a Commercial Operations Intern – Spring 2027
You’ve read about shipping. Now discover a niche that helps power countries.
Perhaps you’ve come across the acronym FSRU while exploring the maritime industry. Short for Floating Storage and Regasification Unit, it’s a specialised segment with a worldwide fleet of just 50+ vessels. At Höegh Evi, we own and operate 10 of them across 4 continents.
We are looking for a motivated individual from BI Norwegian Business School to join us in 2027 and discover the business behind these vessels.
The BI Internship is an unpaid, credit-bearing internship in accordance with BI’s Internship Bachelor programme.
This is your chance to see how a charter contract plays out on a vessel in operation, and what it takes to keep customers, crews and colleagues on four continents aligned.
What you’ll do:

Who we're looking for
Someone who identifes with Höegh Evi's values:
You are studying shipping management, business, finance, law or a related field at BI, and you're keen to build a career in the maritime industry. You follow what's happening in the industry, and you want to understand how the commercial side of the business really works, from contracts and customer relationships to day-to-day operations.
You are comfortable with numbers and reports and you notice the details others miss. You don't need prior experience in the industry, just the drive to learn it properly and the confidence to ask questions along the way.
What you’ll gain
You'll get a close-up view of the commercial side of an international energy shipping company, working on real tasks with guidance from a dedicated supervisor. You'll be part of the team from day one, and you'll see how what you're learning at BI applies to real commercial opportunities.
A potential summer internship position would be a separate, paid employment arrangement.
